Pax

We have been honored to care for Pax since June of 2019. The circumstances that brought him to our care has broken our hearts. As you know, our horses come to us from County of San Diego Department of Animal Services. Pax is a rare exception to that rule.

In the spring of 2018 when HiCaliber Horse Rescue announced they were closing, Stephanie adopted Doug and renamed him Pax (“peace”). Stephanie was a very dear friend of the organization. She previously served as our Volunteer Coordinator and as a board member. She was a true advocate of our efforts.

Unfortunately, Stephanie was facing health challenges in 2019 that prevented her from spending time with her beautiful boy. So she made the very difficult decision to move him to the ranch. Although Stephanie lost her battle with cancer we are honored to be caring for Pax in her memory.
