Missy

Missy is a miniature horse. She is the darling of our herd, but don’t let her 38 inches fool you. She rules the herd at Horses of Tir Na Nog. When Missy came to us, she had a lot of trust issues to overcome. However, it was clear to see that under her brash demeanor was a sweet little girl just waiting to come out. Our use of operant conditioning has dramatically increased her confidence and trust. She was the first of our herd to be target trained. This technique has helped dramatically increase her comfort level with groundwork and general handling.

Missy is believed to suffer from Cushing’s disease. As a result, she is on a highly specialized diet. In spite of these health issues, Missy is doing well and continues to win fans with her playful antics and adorable good looks.
