On March 8, 2018 we welcomed a County of San Diego Department of Animal Services alumna to the ranch. In 2014, Jasmine was rescued by Animal Services when she was found running loose in Elfin Forrest with two other horses. While at Animal Services, she was diagnosed with a hypoplastic soft palate.
Since she was only about two and a half years old and not halter trained, she was placed in the care of Falcon Ridge Equine Rescue in hopes of finding her an adoptive home. While she didn’t find an adoptive home, she received much-needed training and found a wonderful foster home. In 2018 her foster mom had to step back from fostering. Given Falcon Ridge’s commitments to taking in several new horses at the time, we were able to offer this Animal Services alumna a forever home. Jasmine is a lucky girl to have been cared for by Falcon Ridge and her foster mom, Windee Evans.
At the ranch she lives with her best friend Ms. Ruby Red.
