In October 2020, a local Rescue and Therapy Center has made the difficult decision to downsize following the loss of corporate clients due to Covid. In addition, a family member of the founder is dealing with significant health challenges.

The group has done a great job finding adoptive homes for most of their horses, but they had one that would not be suitable for general adoption due to medical issues. We suspect that Gracie, a Clydesdale, has Chronic progressive lymphedema (CPL), a progressive, debilitating disease common in draft horses. While Gracie’s case is currently mild it will require on-going care to keep her disease managed and her comfortable.
