Billy arrived with his mom, Savannah, in early January 2018. They transferred into our care from Ferdinand’s Familia & Rescue.
They had been in the care of a long-term foster, but circumstances prevented their foster from continuing. Savannah was thought to be in her 30’s and her son, Billy, in his late teens. Obviously these two had been together Billy’s entire life.
On February 1, 2020 we lost Savannah to a suspected cardiovascular event. Her passing was very sudden and completely unexpected. Fortunately, Billy was surrounded by his friends, Wyoming and Ciaran at the time. It has been wonderful to watch this friendship grow over the years. Billy lives with Wyoming and Valentine.
Billy has been diagnosed with Cushing’s disease. Fortunately, daily Prascend has allowed us to manage this disease. Unfortunately, we have found it more challenging to manage Billy’s weight, but our volunteers continue to try to help him slim down.
