We are so happy to announce that two of the beautiful mares who came to us from the San Diego Humane Society from the Villa Chardonnay rescue have names and sponsors.
Thank you so much to a special friend for sponsoring Mary Roberta! Mary Roberta, or Mary for short, is a gorgeous bay mare.
This girl has Navicular disease. It is a degenerative condition that causes chronic forelimb lameness. Despite this diagnosis, Mary has been thriving. We are able to manage her comfort with medication and farrier care. We are so grateful to Mary's sponsor for their support.
We also want to introduce you to the beautiful Belgian Ronnie! Thank you so much to Linda Simpson for sponsoring Ronnie. Sponsorship allows us to provide our ranch residents with quality care.
Ronnie is blind. She came to our sanctuary in June as a part of a bonded pair. She arrived with her friend, also a Belgian gelding.
Though Ronnie has muscle loss on her right side, she has gained a significant amount of weight since she has arrived. Her and her BFF have moved in with their "seeing eye" horse, Bubba.
We are so grateful for Linda Simpson for sponsoring this big sweet heart. It has been so wonderful to be able to call Ronnie's name at meal times and it fits her so well.
Our horse sponsors are the foundation of our sanctuary. Your compassion allows us to provide our ranch residents with quality care. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
