Lil’ Girl and Tootsie Roll were rescued by San Bernardino County Animal Care and Control in July 2021 as part of a neglect case. Lil' Girl has behavioral issues that prevented her from being adopted by the public. The two are believed to be sisters. They arrived at the ranch on October 16, 2021.
Before we could put them together, Tootsie's Roll feet had to recover from laminitis/abscesses so that we could remove her shoes. We wanted her to be barefoot when we put the girls together in hopes of reducing injury if she did kick or strike her sister, even in play. It went very well and Tootsie roll is very comfortable barefoot. Since then the sisters have been living together.
Lil’ Girl continues to be a high energy girl, but clearly enjoys life with her sister.
