Kathy

Kathy was one of six horses that arrived at Horses of Tir Na Nog on February 27, 2026.  They came from a local rescue that had closed.

This beautiful bay thoroughbred is about 11 years old.  She has arthritis and a history of lameness.  She came to us underweight, but after a short time she gained healthy mass and is still improving.  We are so glad that Kathy has come to our sanctuary where we are able to provide her the care that she needs.

Kathy is closely bonded with Tammy, one of the other six horses taken in from the closed rescue.  They are doing very well and are great friends.

Kathy and her best friend Tammy have been named in honor of a dynamic duo from the Remiatte Foundation.  Kathy is named in memory of a deeply missed friend from the Foundation.  Thank you so much to the Remiatte Foundation for sponsoring them.  We are proud to name these two beautiful horses after two extraordinary women.
