County of San Diego Department of Animal Services took in two horses on August 14, 2024. Their owner was out of state receiving medical care and not coming back, leaving no one to care for them.
This bonded pair consists of a twenty-eight-year-old paint gelding and a twenty-year-old mare. The gelding needs to gain some weight and the mare will benefit from losing a few pounds. Both need dental care and the mare’s feet are terribly long.
While these two beauties attracted attention at the shelter, no adoption applications were submitted. So, given their ages and medical needs they were transferred to our care on August 28, 2024.
We hope you will join us in welcoming them home and join us in promising these two a loving, forever home. We can only make this promise with your support. Please help us reach our $35,000 Keeping Our Promise Match!
A donor has offered us a $35,000 match. A second donor agreed to make that match. This means that every dollar you donate will become $3.00! Thanks to your generosity, we have already raised $10,000 of the $35,000 Keeping Our Promise Match. We hope we can count on you to help us raise the remaining $25,000. Any gift, regardless of size will count towards this match and help us welcome these two horses home.
Donations can be made on-line or by mail: Horses of Tir Na Nog; P.O. Box 19131; San Diego, CA 92159.
